Lots of fantastic cooks exist around the world—like YOU! And now you have a way to share your creations, recipes, and culture with everyone, too.

The foods you like and the foods you craft are as core to YOU as your personality. Food reflects your culture, too.

Culture can mean your ethnicity, your background, or where you live. Culture can also be a fusion of food from different cultures. The culture of food you prepare can be as specific as Southern Indian or as broad as Italian-German-Indian-Korean fusion!

Your food creations may reflect a culture that cooks food fast for an on-the-go lifestyle. Or a culture that is based on personal beliefs, such as vegan and raw cultures. History

Activecooks.com was started by food lovers from Silicon Valley who thought every food lover should have a voice. The founder, Tommy Huynh, started Activecooks.com after he searched on the Internet for videos on the Food Network’s website. He could not find any videos that weren’t done by highly trained professionals who made it look easy. Their recipes, of course, came out perfect every time. And we know that life just is not like that!

He got the idea to start a website that allowed everyone to create their own videos and that’s when activecooks.com was born.
