Lentil soup needs ,oregano,bay leaves,most of all garlic,
also you may add 2 tbls.of toamato paste and vinegar.and of course virgin olive oil,and this is
Mediterranean coocking!!!!

Hi Katie,

Welcome to the Community! Thanks for the good feedback. Although I included it in my video, somehow the chopped onion and two cloves of fresh garlic (I agree, the garlic is critical!) were omitted from my recipe. I will see if the recipe can be edited or reposted. Also, a healthier substitute for vinegar is a little bit of fresh lemon juice. Do you have any other simple Mediterranean inspired recipes? I love that style of food prep.

Hi T,I will give you our famous djadjiki dip,made of 1 cup
of strained yogurt,1cucumber cut with the knife in small
square pieces,enough garlic cloves to make it hot,salt
olive oil and vinegar,and on top you garnish with anise,
or parsley.In this dip if you add a cup of cold water and a little more cucumber and ice cubes you suddenly have an excellent soup for the hot days of summer.
Always we correct the taste on salt or vinegar even garlic
according to our prefferences,I do that all the time with
all the recipes .Happy New Year to you too.
